If you’ve ever stepped foot out of our lift and into the foyer of THE ICONIC you’ll know what I mean when I say it’s crazy! *In an awesome way* We’re all buzzing with excitement, everyone is doing something interesting/random/cool, and if they aren’t they are probably taking a couple of minutes to chill out and fill up their cup of tea or more commonly – coffee! Generally everyone has a few minutes to stop and chit-chat (or gossip or journey with you to which ever floor you are headed to) but since you probably won’t get those few minutes we thought it would be kinda cool to introduce some of THE ICONIC crew on a weekly basis and call it ‘A day in the life of…’ aka #adayinthelifeof on Instagram. That way you will know some of the coolest people we get to work with everyday!
So what better way to kick off a new feature, than to feature the newbie! When I heard we had a new guy on the block I got the ball rolling and persuaded him to let me blog post on him slash take him into a back alley to take his picture. Here goes!

Were you late? Tell the trutthhhh. I just started a week ago so I still need to be on time and give the impression I’m an a A1 employee who’s always on time and last to leave…that will change pretty soon.
What were your first thoughts when you stepped into our foyer (level 2) on your first day? So many peeeeoplllle everywhere!!!
What was in your lunchbox? Left over Spag Bowl and Wonka Nerd candy (guilty pleasure).
Let’s recap what you have done in the last… 8 hours? Made lovely images for newsletters…for 8 hours.
1 hour? Really quickly trying to finish an illustration for our newsletter on Thursday. (Reeeeally fun illustration my friends. If your not on our Iconic mailing list..go do just that. Right now!) (For added ease you can sign up…here)
What’s your story pre THE ICONIC? I worked at my local Sailing Club while studying graphic design at St George Design Centre. After school was out I had enough pocket money to go traveling for 6 months around Europe. When I came back I started freelancing around working on some amazing projects in the fashion and music biz…and now I’m here.
Word on the street is that you’ve got your own tee-shirt label.. Talk me through it -It’s less a t-shirt label, more a creative outlet for myself. I’m the kinda guy that’s never not working, as being creative is what I do for fun. So one day I started hand drawing patterns onto t-shirts using fabric markers and it kind of snow balled from there into doing murals at a local bar and hand drawing on skate decks.
Favourite word? Tropical.
Thoughts so far? I’m having a whale of a time.
