Job Title: Fashion Editor for THE ICONIC Magazine
Job Description: Styling and organising the fashion shoots and product pages for the magazine, requesting clothes, shoes and accessories for shoots as well as booking models, photographers and hair and make-up artists. Plus eating lots of chocolate in between. This may or may not be in my contract but it’s an important part of each day.
What time did you start today? 9.25am. 9am and I aren’t the best of friends.
Let’s recap what have you done in the last…8 hours? Spoken with hair and make-up to discuss looks for our Spring Fling shoot on Friday, confirmed flowers, balloons and a tree swing for the shoot as well as preparing a brief to email out for next week’s Neons shoot. I’ve also run up and down between levels to print pages without knowing there was a printer 3 steps from my desk. Nice one. And in between all of this I’ve stared at the pretty clothes on the racks in front of me and thought how great sparkles and sequins look under down lights.
Whats your story pre THE ICONIC? I studied Journalism and PR at Macleay College and during this time I was offered an internship at DisneyGiRL Magazine. After a month I was offered the role of Fashion and Beauty Editor. Dream come true! I stayed on part-time whilst I finished college and then went full time as Fashion & Shopping Writer for the Parenting Titles at ACP (Mother & Baby Magazine, Pregnancy & Birth, Wondertime) Not long after I moved to the role of Junior Fashion Editor at Cosmopolitan Extensions (Cosmo Bride, Health and Pregnancy Magazine) After lots of tulle, cupcakes, diamonds and flowers I was ready for a change. And here I am.
What are the perks of working for a Fashion Retailer? Definitely being able to see the new season collections before the public. It makes me smile but my bank account frown.
MY ICONIC wishlist? I’m heading to The Greek Islands in a couple of weeks and I must have these in my suitcase:

Top 3 winter essentials? A great pair of leather boots, a chunky scarf and a good lip balm to fight cracked lips. No one wants to kiss cracked lips. Right?
Your #1 tip for online shopping? Take your time. Star an item or save it to your basket and then go back the next day. You might even find something else you didn’t see the first time around.
Who is your fashion icon/who do you draw inspiration from? Olivia Palermo and Alexa Chung for casual chic and Beyonce + Kim Kardashian for girly glam.
SHOES or BAGS? Shoes AND Bags. They always fit you no matter how much apple pie you’ve had.
Can’t live without… My family, lots of laughter and high heels.
Fave trend this season is… Florals. It’s about to explode in a big way for Spring Summer and there’s a style for everyone.
